Overview
Virtual SEA is dedicated to covering video games from all over Southeast Asia (SEA) that are developed by local game studios, typically indies. This includes games from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
We publish reviews, previews, news, and reports about Southeast Asian gaming culture in the English language.
Virtual SEA is a non-profit project created by independent writers from Indonesia, Germany, and the Philippines. We are fully self-funded, with the exception of page-based advertisements.
Our goal is to showcase the marvellous games made by Southeast Asian indie developers, which incorporate interesting local input and clever new ideas. We strongly believe that the Southeast Asian games market will become one of the biggest and most important markets globally, and Virtual SEA is your first step into it.
For more info, please visit our Team page.
We regularly participate in game exhibitions and events. Our most recent appearances include Gamescom, Level Up KL, and gamescom asia.
